Todd New River Festival 2012


The 19th Annual Todd New River Fall Festival is fast approaching. This year’s event will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Walter and Annie Cook Park in beautiful downtown Todd, North Carolina.
The festival features multiple music performances, storytelling, bluegrass jams, puppet shows, athletic competitions and other recreational events for all to enjoy.

When attending the festival you can expect many bluegrass bands and over 30 vendors with a variety of arts and crafts. Also expect plenty of barbecue and great food as the smells drift out of the festival area towards you as you walk to the festival from your car.
Admission is free. Parking and a shuttle ride to the festival are available for $5 at the field just off Railroad Grade Road from the Highway 194 entrance to Todd.

Tweetsie Railroad Ghost Train Halloween Festival

Hop aboard the Ghost Train and join engineer Casey Bones for a journey into darkness. Tour the Haunted House, ride the rides in the Creepy Carnival, enjoy the Spooktacular show at the Tweetsie Palace, and experience all the attractions in the Boneyard!

This spooktacular event begins Friday, September 28th and runs every Friday and Saturday night through October 31st as the ghouls come out to play and thrills and chills await you at every corner. The Ghost Train Halloween Festival’s non-stop fun and excitement has made the event one of the most popular Halloween celebrations in the High Country.


A limited number of guests are admitted each night, so don’t wait until it’s too late.
