Ten Days of Choose and Cut in Ashe County

Starting November 28 and running through December 7 is the Choose and Cut Season in Ashe County with more than 20 growers to choose from! Whether you're looking for the "full experience" of hay rides and hot apple cider with your choice of the "perfect" Christmas tree OR if you just want to feel free to wander at your leisure through acres and acres of beautiful, fragrant Fraser fir trees to find the right tree. There are more than enough farms from which to choose! West Jefferson Christmas Parade

The annual West Jefferson Christmas Parade is coming up Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 2:00pm. George Hamilton IV will serve as Grand Marshal! Local entries provide the excitement that has become a community tradition. There will be plenty of hometown, homemade floats throughout the streets of downtown. Please be sure to join us!
