MerleFest 2011

It's that time of year again for MerleFest.

MerleFest was founded in 1988 in memory of Merle Watson as a fundraiser for Wilkes Community College and to celebrate "traditional plus" music. Merle was the son of the legendary Doc Watson.

This year, MerleFest is chocked full of amazing talent, included Doc Watson, Randy Travis, Donna The Buffalo, Lyle Lovett, Del McCoury Band, Rober Plant and the Band of Joy, and dozens of other very talented artists!
